Most Attraction Places You Must Visit in Great Britain

UK is one of the most visited destinations in Europe, ever wondered what attracts more than a million visitors every year. After hosting 2012 Olympics, UK has become more vital centre of attraction. The UK houses many attractive places which possess magnetic powers which pull visitors. Many of the attractions are better place to marinate culture. Here are few of them.

London Eye

The London Eye is a colossal Ferris wheel and the largest in the Europe. It is the most popular and visited tourist attractions in the UK. The London Eye ties the western end of Jubilee Gardens to the South Bank of the River Thames amid Westminster and Hungerford Bridge, in the London. Since 20 January 2011, its name has been changed to EDF Energy London Eye. It offers the memorable sight of London’s most celebrated attractions with in 30 minutes!

Madame Tussauds

Madame Tussauds is the world famous museum for the wax statuette of distinguished people. At Madame Tussauds, you’ll see the world’s most eminent characters Shakespeare, Lady Gaga and you’ll also see the dominant figures from sports, politics and showbiz. There are several galleries such as World leaders, the Cultural zone, Sports Stars and London History. There are interactive tasks such as moving in the Big Brother diary room or kicking a penalty in conjunction with David Beckham. You can also click your picture together with Hollywood celebrities like Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, Orlando Bloom, Nicole Kidman, Tom Cruise, Julia Roberts and Leonardo Di Caprio.

Baker Street is the nearest station; Marylebone railway station and Regent’s park Tube station are also close by.

Alton Towers

It is the most loved theme parks in Britain and home for kid’s great attractions with white-knuckle roller coaster rides and much more. It is the perfect get away end for the whole family to enjoy after hectic week! The peak season for the park is 24 March – 4 November 2012. It offers amazing choice of rides and attractions for the visitors. Its origin rendezvous is from the 8th century. You can reach there via Alton Towers Hotel by marching the scenic Woodland Walk which consumes hardly 15 minutes.

Buckingham Palace

 


Buckingham Palace is the Queen’s authorized London habitat and is used to entertain visitors on state, ritual and bureaucratic occasions for the Imperial Family. The palace was formerly made for the Duke of Buckingham in 1705. It is positioned in such a way that it links The Green Park, Hyde Park and St. James’s Park. It houses 19 state rooms and has some of the supreme possessions counting paintings and the premium French and English furniture; ballroom and gardens are open for the guests during August and September while the Queen is on her once yearly visit to Balmorals.

There is an admission fee and tickets are restricted so you must book in advance.
