London South Bank Walk, a must do thing in London

In earlier days south London was not a very good place to visit. Today this place is very different from others. Here we have mentioned the sights to see on London South Bank walk. You can go through them all and then plan your tour.

The George Inn
This is a good pub on the south bank. You can come here to have a good drink and have some good time with people here. The place has some historical interest too. The best interiors will make you feel good here.

Borough Market
This is one of the best markets in London. You can find different stalls including some food stalls. There is also a new glass-fronted section that can be accessed through the Borough High Street. Here you can see some vendors selling food that come from all corners or the world. You may also see some of the good old fashioned market traders that will give you a good bargain deal. If you come here on Saturday then you can also take a kebab skewer. This is a very old market that sells very fresh food. You should avoid coming here on Sundays as it is generally closed on Sundays.

Southwark Cathedral
As this place is close to the Borough Market, you can come here after the shopping. You can get fresh lunch from the markets and enjoy at this place. After your Lunch you can see the cathedral. Here you can spend time taking some snaps.

The Southwark Tavern
Before you leave the Borough Market you can quickly see this older part of the market. This is the best ending point of the Southwark Tavern. Pitstop is a pub that is worth visiting. In the basement there are old debtor’s cells where the people who were in debt were kept. You can also have your drink inside the cell. If you want to spend more time at this place then you can find an accommodation near Great Cumberland Place.

The Golden Hinde
As you come at the front of the market you will see yourselves at the Golden Hinde. As you cross the corner, the hinde will literally slap you on your face, and this something different about it.

Winchester Palace Ruins
This place was previously known as Winchester Palace. It used to form a section of the rich bishop’s home. This palace was caught in fire in the year 1814.

The Clink Prison and Museum
Extoling itself as the prison that transferred its name to others, the clink is London’s very first prison .it used to house drunkards, religious adversaries, harlots, and debtors. If you g o the museum then you can learn the history.

Vinopolis

Anchor Bankside
As you move ahead from the Vinopolis there you will find one more beer shop, the Anchor Bankside. This is the place where Samuel Pepys scrutinized the Great Fire of London and wrote his diary. The pub is not very attractive like other pubs but you can enjoy its big terrace if the weather is on your side. From the gallery you can have beautiful views of St Paul’s Cathedral.

The Thames
After the Anchor the remaining London South Bank walk is on the Thames side. The main attraction about the walk is not the places that come on the way but the views of the east to the city including the Gherkin and St Paul’s Cathedral, and the shard. Also to west to Westminster including London Eye and the Houses of Parliament and also the big ben.

If you want to enjoy the south bank walk then you must first plan about where to stay.
