Edinburgh is out of the most beautiful cities on the planet, well known for its quaint cobblestoned streets and fabulous landmarks. Camera Obscura: Another popular destination with tourists it was built in 1853. It offers a unique view of the city and is a fun activity for people of all ages. It is located in an area known as the Royal Mile and visitors need to get to the top of the Victorian chamber on the rooftop to experience a fascinating optical illusion. When you peer through a large periscope the city below is projected onto a large table. It offers a most unique experience and is an absolute must to visit.

Visit a whisky distillery: Scotland is famous the world over for its fine whisky.  A great way to spend an afternoon is to take a tour of a whisky distillery where you can learn about the finer nuances of the whisky making process and learn about its heritage and history. There are numerous tours available and also tastings to help you decide your own favourite.
