Queens Gardens – Nearest Stations

Queens Gardens is located in the city of Westminster in London and its residential area is in the London area of Bayswater which is one of London’s most architecturally traditional areas. Guests staying at hotels in this area can easily enjoy a serene stroll through Hyde Park and come out in the midst of London’s shopping hub on Oxford Street and Regent Street. West End with all its cultural offerings and nightlife activities is also close by, so that you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the capital conveniently.

Queens Gardens is ideally situated as it is well-served by three tube stations and two railway stations. The nearest tube station to Queens Gardens is Bayswater Underground Station which is only 5 minutes to the south west. It is less than 100 metres from the Central line’s Queensway station and it is located on the busy Queensway tourist street. Portobello Market is only a short walk away. The attractions nearby include Whiteleys Shopping Centre, Westbourne Grove, and Queen’s ice rink and bowling centre. Kensington Gardens and St Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Cathedral are also close by.

Lancaster Gate tube station is also located close to Queens Gardens which is located on the Central line near Lancaster Gate on Bayswater Road in Bayswater, to the north of Kensington Gardens. It is between Queensway and Marble Arch on the Central line and is in Travelcard Zone 1.

The other tube station near Queens Gardens is Paddington tube station which connects to the District and Circle, Bakerloo, and Hammersmith and City lines. Paddington station also offers mainline services to Oxford, Bristol, Tauton, Exeter, Plymouth, Cornwall and South Wales. It is also the terminus of Heathrow Express which offers a 15-minute non-stop transfer to Heathrow Airport. Paddington station is also famous for the fictional bear with a liking for marmalade sandwiches, who was discovered on the platform by the Brown family who took him home. There is a bronze statue commemorating him.

The other nearby Overground station is Marylebone Railway station. It is also known as London Marylebone and it is a London railway terminus and London Underground complex, located midway between the main line stations at Euston and Paddington about a mile from each of them. It serves as the terminus of the Chiltern Main Line route to Birmingham, the London to Ayelsbury Line and the services that connect Marylebone with Oxford Parkway via a new chord connecting the Chiltern Main line to the Oxford to Bicester Line. It is the youngest of London’s main line terminal stations and is also one of the smallest.
